Contemporary American Jesuit Artists

May 2, 2003 - August 13, 2003

This group exhibition highlights art created by Jesuit artists ordained in the United States. The exhibition echoes themes also illustrated in the Collection of the Western Jesuit Missions now displayed in the third floor galleries. Reflecting contemporary Catholic imagination as well as ancient religious themes, the Contemporary Jesuit Artists exhibition mirrors the vibrant interests of the Society of Jesus in America and its work among the faithful and the marginalized.
